Medical Relaxation Institute (MRI) was established in 2004 to serve primarily the Magnetic Resonance Imaging community by manufacturing custom eye pillows—M·R Eye Pillows™—and is now working to develop other natural, low-tech approaches to helping MR and other diagnostic centers promote patient comfort and relaxation during diagnostic or treatment procedures. MRI's predecessor company—Healthware 2 Bodycare (H2B Company)— pioneered the eye pillow and other high-end relaxation products for both the general and specialty/custom markets, and in 1997 was the first to make custom eye pillows for MR centers.
